I like the way Munroe put this book together - it has chapters on aspects of life and identity which she uses as perspectives on her experiences, and which act as lenses to examine the social attitudes and systemic prejudices that affected her life and shaped the person she is.
The personal elements of memoir ground her thoughtful analysis of larger cultural influences in lived experience, and while, sadly, some may challenge her conclusions ⬇️
All of which I've made sound overly earnest and po-faced, but it's actually down-to-earth, honest, raw and captivating. 1y
