Welcome to Litsy!

An inspiring self-portrait of a young boy growing up in post-WW11 Ontario, a family of seven, first in Toronto then eventually moving to the countryside, in search for a better life on a small farm nestled within a beautiful valley north of the city. At their new home, called “Seldom Seen”, which became a beloved summer camp for many children for years, the Birch family struggled through difficult and challenging times, through Hurricane Hazel and so many other pivotal events that shaped the emerging post-colonial Canada.
