Stacey Abrams was great at Texas Book Festival today.
Reading second of Stacy Abrams books staring Supreme Court clerk Avery Keene, and enjoying it. Loved "When Justice Sleeps" so jumped right in on this one, also our bookclub choice for August selected by our friend and bookclub member Vicki.
Another exciting Avery Keene thriller. Keep them coming Stacey!!
The white walls of Mamiwata Incorporated's office space were painted with a clear coat to encourage scribblings and musings to be scrawled across the vast surfaces.
Avery Keene returns in a new adventure that seamlessly weaves the aftermath of events from book 1 into the new story. Abrams shows that she really knows the DC landscape. This is terrific! These should definitely be read in order, so go back and read When Justice Sleeps first if you‘re interested in these.
I was super excited to read this book because I really enjoyed the first Avery Keene novel and I loved this one just as much. Usually political thrillers are a slow read for me but I couldn‘t put this one down. I definitely hope there will be plenty more in the series.
Damn, Stacey Abrams is brilliant.
This is a continuation of her first novel under her name, which I didn‘t realize and there were enough references that I wish I had read a good summary before starting this one. But it worked okay as a standalone. There‘s a lot going on here and a lot to keep track of but DAMN it comes together in a satisfying way. And I‘m thinking we haven‘t seen the last of Avery Keene yet.
Book 2/4 for #JoysofJune
Stacey Abrams is a magical unicorn. This is the second in her political thriller series.
