This is a beautifully wrought and deeply compelling story exploring the very real pain of a recently divorced writer trying to navigate her life in Manhattan as a single parent. Her risky affair with a wild Russian undocumented immigrant is both hilarious and poignant.

#notinEnglish is this beautiful book of #RussianFairyTales I bought at a used bookstore because of the gorgeous illustrations. I honestly have no idea what it says or even the title. Can anyone help me out? #seasonsreading2016

To start, just how sexy is this cover? So this book is complicated & dark. A French divorcee begins an affair with a younger man. She's as physically drawn to him as she is put off by his behavior, his demands. She's embarrassed by him, threatened by him. She can't seem to give him up.
