Monster Hunter International, Second Edition
Monster Hunter International, Second Edition | Larry Correia
Contains an all-new afterword by New York Times best-selling author Larry Correia! Welcome to Monster Hunter International. Five days after Owen Zastava Pitt pushed his insufferable boss out of a fourteenth story window, he woke up in the hospital with a scarred face, an unbelievable memory, and a job offer. It turns out that monsters are real. All the things from myth, legend, and B-movies are out there, waiting in the shadows. Officially secret, some of them are evil, and some are just hungry. On the other side are the people who kill monsters for a living. Monster Hunter International is the premier eradication company in the business. And now Owen is their newest recruit. It's actually a pretty sweet gig, except for one little problem. An ancient entity known as the Cursed One has returned to settle a centuries old vendetta. Should the Cursed One succeed, it means the end of the world, and MHI is the only thing standing in his way. With the clock ticking towards Armageddon, Owen finds himself trapped between legions of undead minions, belligerent federal agents, a cryptic ghost who has taken up residence inside his head, and the cursed family of the woman he loves. Business is good . . . At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (Digital Rights Management). Lexile Score: 710

Found this from a booktuber lightly mentioning it on one of his videos. It‘s right up my alley Bought the whole series on my kindle after reading a few chapters.

Audible is how I stay sane during my workday. I work remotely and between a weenie dog whose convinced that every passerby is an enemy and noisy neighbors who keep very odd hours, I *have* to listen to something! I usually bounce between Spotify and audiobooks when I feel my brain can handle it, but it‘s how I add an extra 3-5 books a month to my reading challenge!

Any other Audible fans in the house? What are you listening to? 🎧

This isn‘t a book I‘d typically pick but was put in my audible wishlist by my husband. I downloaded it for him but was curious about it. I am loving it so far! It‘s fun and gritty. The narrator rocks it, too!

APLitlife I never would have picked this up, but I had a student book club (boys) and this was the book they picked. I loved it! 7y
BookishBeth @APLitlife I wouldn‘t have chosen it either but it‘s one of the more engaging books I‘ve had lately. I‘m going to try to do the series. 7y

There's a lot I want to say about this book. It's well written, fun to read, and the MC is easily relatable. The situations other authors would have treated as grim has an underlying humor to it that pervades the entire series.

This one was fun! (it's not in the system) Reminds me of Hitchhiker's Guide with gratuitous name dropping.

Not my style of book, but was a read for my boys book club. Surprisingly good and looking to pick up the next in the series.

jfalkens I'm not usually into books that can be so graphic but I loved this book 😀 7y

An average guy finds out he is not so average, and that monsters are real. Essentially, it is man vs. monsters with lots of firearm details, sure to please enthusiasts.
