Pickpick

Read for my bimonthly virtual foodie book club. The author was the creator & producer of the Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives & he knows how to keep his food writing interesting. In this book he explores the origins & rise of food Americana like pizza, fried chicken & the chicken sandwich “wars,” sushi, bagels, Mexican Food & lobster rolls. Although I knew some of the backstory it was entertaining. It‘s hot & I‘m busy so I used bagels⬇️

DebinHawaii …for inspiration & but together an Everything But The Bagel & Nova Salmon Cottage Cheese Bowl, quick & perfect for a work-from-home lunch or an easy dinner. My review & the non-recipe are on the blog: http://kahakaikitchen.blogspot.com/2023/07/everything-but-bagel-nova-salmon.html... (edited) 1y
