An entertaining, steamy slow-burn romantic comedy though the comedy aspect wasn't that strong.
The reason why this book was so-so for me is that most of the storyline went too easily straightforward.
What I really didn't like was the third break up act - it was early expected and there weren't any surprises.
The references to San Francisco and the pigeon rescue program (from her standalone billionaire rom-coms) was delightful.
This was my first Meghan Quinn book and I definitely plan to read her others! This one was so good and it had me laughing out loud so much. However, I did want to throw this book across the room a few times. It made me laugh, cry and want to scream. This book was so good.
I really enjoyed this for the most part! The 🌶 was 🔥 that's for sure. But the third act conflict felt forced and bizarre, and it was definitely longer than it needed to be. 3.5⭐️
