Pickpick

Ponyboy is a gently written but stark depiction of someone descending further into addiction, not really making much of life otherwise, and trying to come to terms with being trans. I thought this was really good. It doesn‘t glamorous substance use and it shows how painful it can be to make one‘s way while being queer, sometimes not even fully accepted by the queer community.

NBA longlist, fiction
