They stole his crown. So, he stole their daughter... For years Erik, the scarred king of the Ever Kingdom, has thought of nothing but vengeance against the man who killed his father and trapped him beneath the waves, making him a prisoner in his own realm. Until his enemy's daughter unintentionally breaks the chains on the Ever, and Erik makes her the unwitting pawn in his vicious game of revenge. She's innocent. He's vicious. But he will take back what he lost, no matter the price. Unless she steals his heart first. Welcome to the passionate world of the Ever Kingdom where pirates, sirens, and fae collide with Vikings in a dark fantasy romance between a villain and the innocent princess who holds his heart. *Please note: This series is set in the same world as the bestselling Broken Kingdoms series, but can be read independently, and readers are encouraged to read the list of triggers inside*

Omggggg! Pirates vs Vikings mixed with dark little mermaid/jack sparrow vibes. I‘ve said it once - and I‘m saying it again- I‘m (definitely) in my Villain era. King Erik is a straight up horrendous monster and Livia cannot keep away. The enemies to lovers arch was so good, so perfectly done that even I couldn‘t help kick my legs and squeal at the banter and spice. 4🌶️ 5⭐️ now I need to read the second book asap. Completed trilogy, fyi!

I very much appreciated the world building of both land and sea kingdoms. Of course, I like the sea fae and pirates 🏴‍☠️ better! Their voices each hold a song that can either aid or harm someone. The ship was totally giving me Flying Dutchman vibes from POTC, because it could “sail” beneath water! And I admire that Erik, the Ever King, once he earned Livia‘s love and he gave love he didn‘t do a 180, he kept most of his ruthless pirate badassness!

I attended Books and Brews at Blake‘s Backyard today. 📚 🍺

I spotted my current ebook as a paperback! I didn‘t purchase, but I did touch and see how the text was laid out in book form.

PathfinderNicole Oh man I wanted to go to this but couldn‘t get anybody to go with me!! 3mo
CrowCAH @PathfinderNicole oh no! 😟 I‘m sorry to hear that. It was very well attended! Perhaps we can connect another way, to stay in touch about MetroDetroit MittenLitten bookish events? 3mo
