Dickens loved Christmas with all his heart. The first story is about a Scrooge-y cemetery caretaker who‘s taught a Christmas lesson by goblins. The last two stories are really exaltations encouraging, cajoling even, everyone to do goodwill and forgive and love others at Christmas. Not my favorite stories, missing much of his humor, but lovely stories nonetheless

The beginning of Dickens‘ story, The Christmas Dinner. The more things change, the more they stay the same eh?
