For fans of Bridgerton comes a Regency-era romance graphic novel about the unexpected passion that blooms from a marriage of convenience. The whole town is whispering about how Catherine Benson lost her virtue, though they can never agree on the details. Was it in the public garden? Or a moving carriage? Only a truly desperate man would want her now—and that’s exactly what Andrew Davener is. His family’s estate is in disrepair, but Catherine’s sizeable dowry could set it to rights. After the two wed, Catherine finds herself inexplicably drawn to Andrew. But could falling in love with her husband tear her marriage apart? In this richly detailed Regency romance, duty and passion collide in a slow-burn tale of intertwined fates.

Jane Austen acolytes & Bridgerton besties, I must insist you add this darling graphic novel to your dance card. Set in a diverse, inclusive alt-Regency-era, a marriage of convenience between a reputation-ruined lady and a financially-ruined gentleman settles into surprising contentment, but will it survive the chance for more? Sexy and satisfying, moving and romantic, this pitch-perfect read is a quick one, but you‘ll savor it like a spiced tea.

Oh, this was fun. Very sweet, lots of goofy illustrations for quick jokes, and a good storyline for both Catherine and Andrew and all their loved ones! Some of their tension felt a little over amplified, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment. #graphicnovel #historicalromance

Just a touch disappointed in this, because I read the first part of a serialized version, and I thought it has a more mature artwork feel. I'm also now curious about the differences in the story. (My library only has part one of the serial!) But this was a pretty good romance with an interesting secondary cast including many people of color, with their own lives and concerns. I enjoyed the visual steaminess. 😊

I‘m not sure about this one. A graphic novel that feels like a mashup of Bridgerton and Austen. I didn‘t enjoy this as much as I expected too, maybe just not my thing? The art was gorgeous and the characters interesting, I just wanted more story. #BookspinBingo @TheAromaofBooks

I really enjoyed this graphic novel romance! It was your classic Regency marriage of convenience plot, very nicely illustrated. The central romance is het but the world has a lot of open same sex romance going on around them (sequel bait?) it's a bit steamy, too, which probably hits steamier in the graphic format (maybe don't leave it lying around with young kids).
