This about the first American women team expedition to Annapurna mountain. This covers all minor details starting from fund raising till the end of summit. Gender bias, conflicts with the sherphas, both mental & physical challenges of the summit are presented in a honest way. The unpredictability of the nature, mystery surrounding the mountain made it mesmerising. Cont…

Blackink_WhitePaper Author provides us with multiple view point by referring to the journal of fellow team members. writing is slow paced, at times too quick with adrenaline rush, some time thought provoking similar to their summit. In this pandemic time this book took me to Himalaya. 5🌟#nonfiction2022 #aestheticallymatched #adventurous #bookspin #bookspinbingo #travel now

Finally got around to starting this series. I practically have the entire series on my shelf that I picked up at a book fair a couple years back. I guess we'll see if it's worth it. So far so good.

This is the last book in the Lizzy Gardner series. She believes in law and order and is tired of too many vicious predators gaming the system and walking free. Lizzy is tracking down a list of Sacramento‘s worst offenders and dealing out the payback they deserve. The Sacramento Strangler is a ritualistic serial killer and is dropping corpses and cryptic clues at a shocking rate.

EadieB He‘s next on Lizzy's list. Even though this series is a bit gritty, I enjoyed the characters and the humor throughout. It's best to start with book 1 if you want to thoroughly enjoy the characters and storyline. I was happy that the series ended on a good note for Lizzy. 7h

4/5⭐ Some “names“ seem to be just random nouns I can't imagine ever naming someone. Overall, though, this is a great compilation of gender-neutral names, including meanings and thematic shortlists. #bookspinbingo

Nutmegnc What were some of the best and worst?? 9h
hissingpotatoes @Nutmegnc I'm partial to Skylar, Dylan, Logan, and Harper. I don't understand suggestions like Lynx, Carbon, Utah, and Haiku. 8h
ravenlee I met a family who had kids named Captain, Cadence, and Cypress. I wonder if they‘ve since added Carbon. 8h

hissingpotatoes @ravenlee If the first one ends up in a commander position somewhere they'll be Captain Captain...😑 8h
ravenlee And this is an Air Force town, so I wondered about that. Of course, if he enlists, he‘d be Airman Captain…whatever their last name is. I know we had an Airman Sieman once, which was amusing. 7h
Nutmegnc One of my former work folks named his children after the cities they were conceived in. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ 6h

My #doublespin is done!!!
This series is interesting I just find the couple so ridiculous and annoying 😂 JLA has a style and I don‘t mind it but after reading so many in a row it begins to gnaw at you! Glad it‘s done! #bookspinbingo

This story was cute. I just didn‘t really like the main characters. Still I think a great book for young adult about friendship, growing, being okay with who we are. #bookspinbingo

Ash.on.the.line It is lgbtq without being a major coming out which I prefer so that was nice! 12h

4/5⭐ The humor in this book is great. It combines reasonable and ridiculous* names into many themed lists with clever descriptions and appropriately titled subsections, playing on lots of popular culture and stereotypes.

*At least, I hope they're meant to be ridiculous; I'll lose whatever little faith I have left in humanity if parents these days are seriously considering names like EPUB, A*da, CarWash, or Generic Surplus.
