Fascinating look at covering Zika, AIDS, Ebola, and Covid by the retired NYT pandemic beat reporter. I love how he wove similar aspects of the spread of and response to each of these different pathogens even if a more linear organization would‘ve been easier to follow. It‘s amazing how governments and international organizations have still failed to apply the lessons from earlier bugs, but he also provides concrete suggestions for the future.
