This one was more or less clear, even though I've read a lot of important books in 2024. Runner Up was “Was wird es denn? Ein Kind!“ (“What will it be? A child!“).
But Unlearn Patriarchy covers so many every day things that are based on patriarchal structures, that we don't even realise how they discriminate against other people. This book made me furious, I almost broke down in tears and it really openend my eys. Volume one was the same.
pickIt's hard to put in words what this book means to me. What it did with me. It made me so angry, I wanted to through something through the room. I had to pause several times to process what I just heard. To wipe away tears. I think one time I did start to cry and couldn't continue listening. We learn about how deep patriarchy roots in our society (mainly focused on Germany, but the US is often mentioned as well) and what this means for all of us.
Seemingly, I read faster than I review. So my detailed review will follow later. I still have a lot to process when it comes to the content of this book.
