The first collection of the Twelfth Doctor series! On the terraformed ice planet of Isen IV, the Doctor and Clara discover a monstrous Hyperion has been awakened at the planet's core. Can they halt the rampage of a living star, in the middle of the celebrity wedding of the century, before it escapes to conquer the galaxy? And when Clara and the Doctor land in India, a conspiracy hundreds of years in the making comes to light! A Thuggee cult is trying to resurrect one of the most deadly aliens yet known... Split across two time zones, our heroes must stop this return at all costs – with the help of Rani Jhulka, 'the renegade Amazon' in the 1820s, and Priyanka Maratha, daughter of one of the Doctor's oldest friends, in the Mumbai of 2314! To find out just what makes Peter Capaldi's incarnation of the Doctor so intoxicating, get on board now! Collects The Twelfth Doctor #1-5

It's New Doctor Who Day! I celebrated by re-watching the last three episodes of series 9: Face the Raven, Heaven Sent, and Hell Bent. Such a great arc, and Heaven Sent may be the best episode of New Who ever. And now I'll be staying off social media until after tonight's episode airs in the U.S.

TobeyTheScavengerMonk Agreed on Heaven Sent. Enjoy! Busy holiday goings on so I probably won't get to partake until tomorrow evening. Have you seen Class? Thoughts? 7y
Anton @TobeyTheScavengerMonk I think I'm going to pass on that show. Not enough of a connection to Who. Maybe if they'd brought back Ian Chesterton as the headmaster, or if the students had been introduced during the first Capaldi season. But nothing in the ads has grabbed me. 7y
Trav I'm not really on Litsy anymore but purposely came on here to find out what you thought of the new episode. Have you watched it yet? 7y

Anton @Trav I watched & loved it! I thought it was a great intro episode for Bill, and a nice jumping on point for new viewers. Very excited for series 10 (and I have a theory about what's in that vault). I've missed having you around! 7y
Trav @Anton glad you enjoyed it! I loved the first episode also - especially enjoyed seeing photos of Susan and River on the Doctor's Desk. I'm really looking forward to the rest of season 10, although sad it will be Capaldi's last season. 7y
Trav Oooh what's your theory? I suspect it may either be The Master (John Simm) or either the Mondasian Cybermen - possibly because an older episode referring to a vault had reference to the MC. I've missed being on here too! I'm only really on Instagram now a days, trying to cut back on social media. 7y
Anton @Trav I think it's the John Simm Master or Missy. What else besides being jailer for his best friend/nemesis could keep him in one place for so long? I bet they have regular chess games like Professor X and Magneto. 😀 7y
Anton @Trav And good for you backing off social media, even if it means your missing my Dr Whosday posts! 7y
Trav Oh yes! Imagine the banter that would take place! 7y
Trav I know, it makes me sad that I miss out on your posts. Although I do check in on here every now and again to see how every one is going. I like to see what yourself and a few others are up to! (edited) 7y

It's the last Dr Whosday before series 10 starts! After a year with almost no new Who, I'm super excited for new episodes -- even though they'll be the last ones with Peter Capaldi was the Doctor.

TheLondonBookworm I can't wait!!!! 7y

Happy Dr Whosday! If the latest trailer for series 10 is any indication, Capaldi's final season is going to be a LOT of fun. Check it out at https://youtu.be/s2xOQK_BLIg

TobeyTheScavengerMonk "Nardole! Bill! With me, to the TARDIS!" I am so stoked. 7y

Last post for Dr Whosday. Missy is definitely my favourite Master since Roger Delgado. She mixes his ruthlessness with the Ainley Master's ambition and John Simm's scenery chewing. (She also strangely dresses very much like the Eleventh Doctor in his series 7 outfit). After a few false starts, the Master is finally back to form in Missy, and I hope to see much more of her in the years to come.

Trav Missy is amazing! She does a phenomenal job at playing the Master. 8y
Anton @Trav She's the perfect Master for Capaldi's Doctor! And for the first time in ages you see the friendship at the core of their rivalry. 8y
