Inspired, Theo sets out on a mission of purchasing all the portraits one at a time and quietly bestowing them on their 'rightful owners.' Stories are told; friendships are born; and lives are changed. Theo of Golden is a beautifully crafted story about the power of creative generosity, the importance of wonder to a purposeful life, and the far-reaching possibilities of anonymous kindness.

What a beautiful book! This character-driven story is about the year that Theo, a mysterious older man, lives in the town of Golden. Theo is captivated by the portraits on display at the local coffee shop and is on a mission to gift them to the subjects. The story moves a bit slow, but I didn‘t mind because I loved spending time with Theo and the people of Golden. The ending is poignant and lovely. This is a great work of craftsmanship.
