Diem is seriously one of the most frustrating and sometimes most unlikable characters I‘ve ever read about. Questioning Luther‘s blind love and loyalty is what‘s kept me going through this series. And Taran. Love Taran. I‘ll still rate it well in the end, if not just for those two. Tried the audiobook version when falling asleep the other night and it almost ruined it for me.

I enjoyed the world building and found family camaraderie in this third book. The cliffhanger is a killer - i did not realize the last book has not been published yet and i may have waited to read this if i had known- I‘m thoroughly invested in these books.

Oh My Gosh. So many emotions by the end of the book I don‘t know where to start. I laughed out loud. I screeched. I cried. I screamed. ALL OF IT.
Yeah, Diem is problematic but that‘s okay. She‘s just coming into feeling confident in who she is. Luther is allowed to be angry with what is going on without being angry at her. Luther is top tier husband material, my word. This is the most agonizing slow burn I‘ve ever read. I -hated- loved it so much
