I give all books 100 pages before I decide if it‘s for me. I also feel like I form some sort of Stockholm syndrome to each book as I refuse to quit. I‘m glad I hung onto this one as it turned out to be one of my favorites in a while! Can‘t wait for the next.

This morning a client dropped their dog off and left me with 3 books. I quickly got dressed and threw three of my own at her. Upon starting, I realized I started this via Spotify/audiobook and totally forgot about it. 150 pages into this easy ready today and loving the change of genre from my usual lately.

Also finished this in 2-3 days. I fell in love with these characters even when Rune could be insufferable. I wish there was more, but it rounded out nicely

A fun and easy read. Insomnia hit me at the right time so I stayed up all night and finished this one. We loved a tortured romance interest.

Took me a minute to get into it, but to be fair I think there‘s a lot of world building that you have to believe before it all comes crashing down. A little predictable in some ways, but excited to get into the next one

5/5 I have so many cliffhanger books that I‘m waiting for next installments at this point, I didn‘t think this would be one of them. So good. So well done. Ugh, I love that gargoyle.

Got this beautiful looker. Okay, maybe I judged a book by its cover, but it was a gamble worth taking. Intrigued to see where this one is taking me, and if it takes me somewhere I like, there‘s plenty of other books and series from this author waiting out there..

Blh87 It sure is nice to look at😍 2mo

Diem is seriously one of the most frustrating and sometimes most unlikable characters I‘ve ever read about. Questioning Luther‘s blind love and loyalty is what‘s kept me going through this series. And Taran. Love Taran. I‘ll still rate it well in the end, if not just for those two. Tried the audiobook version when falling asleep the other night and it almost ruined it for me.

Alright. I‘m hooked. Read it in 3 days and now into the third book.

Based on other reviews, I went into this book expecting to be hooked a lot sooner than I was. Maybe I was just tired late-night reading, but it wasn‘t until around the last 100 pages (of 300 something) that I was fully bought in and purchased the next two books. It moved a bit slower than I like, and I‘m not one to shy away from world building. Eventually it got to a 4/5 for me and I‘m already 100 pages into book 2.

Finally started Atonement of the Spine Cleaver. An intimidating almost 800 pages. Hadn‘t heard much about it, but found it recommended in a Reddit thread, took that one recommendation and committed for whatever reason. I found myself distracted for the first bit, but finally settled in after 100 pages or so. Hunger Games meets Fourth Wing, maybe?

Well, Amazon did not deliver the book I wanted today, so I found this in my house. Something has to scratch the book habit itch that I‘ve started in the last few months… Not sure where it came from, but I‘m not mad at it. So far it‘s giving Alice in Londonland. 50 pages in and I‘m intrigued.

When I first started this series, I wasn‘t sure, but it came recommended, I bought the box set, and I‘m no quitter—and I‘m glad for that. SO much world building leading up the last book that I could not put down. This series is different from fantasy that I‘ve grown used to and it was a nice change of pace with changing POV per chapter. Highly recommend if you like easily slipping into a different and dark world.
