Beyond the Tweed: A Tour of Scotland in 1858 | Theodor Fontane

Finished this 19th century travelogue by famous German poet Theodor Fontane back in Troon. The routes of the tourists in Scotland did not change that much, we did the same one, only the other way round. It was quite interesting to read Fontaneā€s descriptions of the countryside abd the different places and compare it to today - especially Edinburgh. I will definitely take it with me again next year when I am going to do second Scotland trip.
