(Book 1 of 2025) At first I was not liking the FMC, Camila. She came off to me too strong of a spoiled, entitled brat for my liking. Also, her “status/position“ entitlement attitude felt forced. As I continued to read through the story and as it developed along with the characters Camila started to grow on me. I started to understand her and sympathize with her. Lewis did a great job in building the world, characters and plot. See Comments...

Captivatedbybooks I definitely did not see it playing out as it did. This was the first time reading anything by Lewis and I would definitely read more books by her. Please read the trigger warnings before reading this book.

Also this book has some spice in it. Tropes are Mafia Queen, Slowburn, Secret Past, Romantic Suspense
