Thanks for reminding me to read this! the author says: "one person's curiosity may be another person's brother-in-law" and "what is strange, rare, or novel to you might be commonplace to the people who live next to Three Mile Island". Or those who live in Intercourse or Blue Ball, I might add. It's also about weird stuff that happened here, things unique about here, & unusual people. #weirdbooks @RealLifeReading @TheSpinecrackersBookClub

ValerieAndBooks @reallifereading the top photo on the book cover refers to how French refugees built a town in PA for those fleeing the French Revolution. Marie Antionette and Louis were supposed to come but didn't make it. The French there felt it was too rustic and either went back to France or towns like Charleston and New Orleans. It's a ghost town now, it seems, and the mansion built for them is still standing. I learned something new today! 8y
