Started using audible and this was a fun listen to and from work.
Listening to this on audible. Giving my brain a break and something entertaining while at the gym.
A friend of mine loves this author so I gave it ago. I like the writing style - funny, crazy family, wine, and gardens. Setting is one of those perfect small towns thst only happen in books. Hardly any crime and several wonderful restaurants. It was hard to put down because I wanted to know what happens. Bit dated. Going to try one of her newer books to see what I think.
I think a scene was rewritten/updated. Mild Spoiler In comments.
Okay, so don‘t get me wrong. I really liked this book & might want to read it again, mainly because their relationship felt so authentic. But it just seemed kinda slow for me & then just kinda became a romance out of nowhere. I don‘t know how to explain it exactly. It was so so good & I really enjoyed it but something was just off. I wish I had more words to explain it better but I‘d give it a shot if you‘re into romance.
I enjoy Higgins writing. She writes strong female heroines. I did not find Levi to be overly nice despite the steamy tension between him and Faith. I love the big family and the complexity of the story. Hoping this is a good series. #readromance #readwomen #catsandbooks
