Still fun but definitely a bit too reminiscent of Janet Evanovich. There's a sassy grandma and a ranger love interest and fun side characters with a quirky mystery. There's a magical communication device that no one uses for plot reasons, which is frustrating and makes the main character seem stupid. I don't understand why it can't get zapped by a spell instead of her just choosing not to use it. Still enjoyed it overall though.

This is the second in the Lily Locke cozy mystery series. Lily is looking for the Magic of Mixology book that was stolen from her home. A cast of colorful characters are there to help including her vamp cousin Poppy, her shape shifting cousin Zin, and the handsome yet mysterious X. We also get to meet the fairies! A very fun, very quick read!
