pickI read most of White‘s books, this is my favourite. The main character, Ava, her story is layered with mystery, ghostly spirits, love, forgiveness, and possibility that two souls can be forever intertwined. The vivid detail of the sights and smells are so real it makes the story so much more exciting. Sea Change is an enchanting story, opening your mind and heart to the possibility that the universe is bigger than we know it. This is a must read!
Happy Friday and hello August. I thought I would share my reading plans for the upcoming weekend, I‘m definitely in the mood to read, read, read. My current read Sea Change by Karen White, good so far. Then onto a reread, JAWS by Peter Benchley, nothing like a little seaside terror. Then on to a new release A Noise Downstairs by Linwood Barclay.

pickThis one took me longer to get into than previous Karen White novels, but overall the story did not disappoint. I love the way this writer uses the supernatural in subtle and believable ways, allowing the reader to explore the nature of reality, without making huge leaps of faith. I liked/invested in some characters more than others, which is perhaps my biggest criticism. Still, a quick and enjoyable read from one of my favorites.
