#2018Book58
This is the first time I've read a book written by a former cult member who still completely buys into everything the cult leader told him. Clive Doyle makes it clear from the beginning that he firmly believes David Koresh was God coming to Earth in human form and that he'll show up again someday to lead the Branch Davidians. The actual writing style leaves a lot to be desired and could have been condensed to 50 pages.

overtheedge Sounds very intetrsting....esp from viewpoint of someone who buys into it...I will look for this. 6y
Cinfhen @britt_brooke @Reviewsbylola I think you two might find this book interesting!! 6y
WorldsOkayestStepMom Have you seen him in the Waco documentaries? He is featured in all of the ones I've watched, and it continues to baffle me that he still buys into it. 6y

Mdargusch So interesting! I‘ve never read a book where the cult member still believes. 6y
Reviewsbylola It definitely sounds fascinating but idk if I can get past the author‘s views. @Cinfhen 6y
britt_brooke @Cinfhen @Reviewsbylola I‘ve read it. Definitely agree with @JacintaMCarter ‘s review. I rated it so-so and plan to eventually read a less-biased account (or at least biased the other way 😉). 6y
Cinfhen Ok, my two favorite cult followers 😉💟 @britt_brooke @Reviewsbylola 6y
