Truth about Stacey | Ann M Martin

1. I am not named after anyone.
2. I enjoyed The Babysitters Club books when I was a child. It makes sense that they had a character named Stacey in the books; it was a somewhat common name in the 80s. 🙂 (But she doesn't spell her name right. The correct spelling is Stacy 😉)

Thanks to FB, I know I was in NYC on this day in 2014! Just a taste of what me and my mom did that day…Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and champagne at The Plaza, where we stayed. Awesome trip!

3✨

As I was looking through my alphabet challenge I realised that I haven't read any books with a K. So I got on a mission to find something cute and short to fill the void.
My reading slump is still ongoing so I knew not to do something over the top.

And when I realised I had the Baby-sitters club on Audio it was like a sign.

👇🏻

Enchanted_Bibliophile I read some of these when I was younger, but I was more into the Famous Five and those adventure type books, so the Baby-sitters were few and far between.

But coming back to these was a lot of fun. I don't think I've ever read this first book, so it was nice to see how it all started.

I'm kinda in the mood to listen to all of them now. Might this be the end of my dreaded reading slump? Here's to hoping!

mabell I remember reading some, but like you, I don‘t think I read many. I enjoyed them, but I guess I preferred other series/books. Didn‘t they choose Claudia as the club contact because she had her own phone? 😄 5mo

Bookwormjillk I loved this series when I was a kid. If you do podcasts The Baby Sitters Club Club is a lot of fun. 5mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @mabell Great memory! Claudia was made vice president because they used her room and phone for the meetings. 5mo
Enchanted_Bibliophile @Bookwormjillk Thanks! I'm definitely gonna give it a try. 5mo

I‘m starting a reread of the series, and never read this prequel. I enjoyed it! I‘m super excited to revisit Stoneybrook and my old “friends”.

This book was so cute!!! It brings back childhood memories for me. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars. This is the fourth book completed for the #JubilantJuly readathon hosted by @Andrew65

Revisited an old fave from my childhood this weekend! While I'm no longer in the target age range, I still enjoyed this nostalgic read.

FlowerFairy The Girl With The Silver Eyes by the same author was a favorite of mine as a child. I‘ll have to see if I can find this one. 9mo
bunny @FlowerFairy I love The Girl With the Silver Eyes! This one isn't quite that good, but it's definitely fun 9mo

5✨I read this series when I was a kid, but never got to finish it. I‘m starting over now, and the beauty of the story is timeless. While I like the original covers better I‘m excited to read from the newer edition. In this book Kristy learns a lot about herself, her friends, and her family. All because she has the brilliant idea to create a babysitter club to help parents find a babysitter a lot easier. April #roll100 and 2nd book for #20in4

I‘m ready to try to finish: “Frankly in Love”, “The Yellow Brick War”, and the first book in the babysitter club. If I can sneak in any more that would be awesome. 💛 #20in4 @Andrew65

Whether you‘re looking for lessons in beating your competition in business, being an advocate for your own health, designing a killer Kid Kit, or simply being the best babysitter, you can find it in THE TRUTH ABOUT STACEY. This week on my book pod, I‘m lucky to have food and romance writer Rochelle Bilow to chat about all of it! 👯‍♀️💓 Listen at the link in my bio.

Baby-Sitters on Board | Ann M Martin

Today‘s episode of my podcast is *extra* fun! Author Sara Shepard — who you know from Pretty Little Liars and The Lying Game, among others — stops by to talk about the first-ever Baby-Sitters Club Super Special, Baby-Sitters On Board. The gals live a teenage dream: a two-part friend vacay on a cruise and then to Disney World. Listen at the link in my bio!
