pickBoth the plot and the characters are dark and twisty. The language is a beautiful blend of modern style with elements of classic fairytale storytelling. Jude‘s machinations are playing out, Cardan is as unpredictable as ever, and all of faery is continuing to react to the tumultuous events in #TheCruelPrince. I will definitely be rereading this book. Funny story : Turns out, I was so excited for this to come out, I pre-ordered it for Audible, Kindle, and the B&N edition (to match my copy of Cruel Prince). Forgot about the Audible and Kindle orders, and had to buy a copy from King‘s English as my ticket for the signing, lol. So I returned the ebook, and currently own it in triplicate. 5y
