🍂 I have, but not until I had a child of my own and we built one for her, then both curled up and read for a while.
🍂 🍂 There are so many honestly, but the tagged book was the first book I remember checking out by myself at the school library and the story has stuck with me so much that I found a copy for my daughter and we read it together now.

This book will be used in my classroom to shine a light on how you can go through a difficult time has a family but also work through that as a family. As long as your together and work for something it can happen.
pickThis book is cute and shows how a family can over come a tragedy together.
“Grandma and mama and I all sat in the chair while Ida took our picture.“ I just think that is the sweetest little image with all 3 generations and how much that chair means to all of them.
I love this book because it not only is a family book, but I think could teach teamwork, caring, empathy, perseverance, and love. I think this book would be perfect for K-4 because it emphasizes that although the little girl wants something, the mother works so hard to get something she deserves and that could be a lesson for all the age groups there.
pickA Chair for my Mother, Vera B. Williams, 2007, Caldecott. This story takes us through a life for a daughter and her mother after a devaesting house fire. The little girl takes us back to when the fire happened and how they had nothing left, especially no couch or big chairs to sit in. All her mother wants is a chair to sit in after work, they save up enough money for just that.
