Pickpick

I really love the characters in this book. I was worried the MC, Louna was going to be a pain in my ass like Remy, but I‘m so glad she wasn‘t. William and Ambrose too are just amazing. I love them both so much. It‘s cheesy (you know I love my cheese) yet I‘m able to still laugh, gasp, and be brought close to tears. Great read for anyone looking for a love story.

PagesByTheWater I LOVE the pacing. Usually when you find out the MC‘s backstory it‘s one chapter or two, in the beginning or middle. But this time it‘s spaced out, which really lets you get connected with Louna and Ethan. Unfortunately it also serves to break your heart more and more as you learn about why they‘re not together early on, which makes it all the worse when, with every other chapter, you see how much Louna really loved Ethan. 6y

I firmly stand accused of this. Any other littens guilty of over sharing the love? I can‘t be the only one.

I legitimately gasped at this. As someone who lives in America, where gun violence is everyday, and a school shooting is something so common, I was once asked why I wanted to homeschool my daughter. My answer: I don‘t want to have her die.
But to see it in a book, plain as day. I don‘t know how to describe it...chilling maybe.

The first Dessen book I ever read and the last one before I start on her newest book.
In the beginning, at least for me, it was difficult. It brought back so many memories of my own personal losses I found myself tearing up at times. But “The first step is always the hardest”. Towards the end it‘s cheesy, and predictable, but I still love it. Big fan of cheese 🧀.

I‘m so excited I just got my copy of Tudor Rose from the #LibraryThing Early Reader Review January batch!
The plot synopses sounds really interesting and up my ally. Once I finish my #DessenNewYear I‘ll be giving this one a read 📖

I remember why this book spoke to me as a kid. I lost my grandfather in February of my Fifth Grade year. Since then I‘ve also lost my Aunt. Just like Macey I‘ve hated the condolences and all I wanted to do was grieve in anger and silence. I also hated events that led to both deaths, especially my Aunts‘. Not gonna lie, I did tear up. I haven‘t even finished the first chapter, I‘m excited to see where this book will take me.

So I saved this book as one of the last books before I started on Once and For All, because this is the first Dessen book I ever read. A gift from my parents after the Fifth Grade Ceremony. I remember loving the book, and have read it many times over the years. After reading through almost all her works, I wonder if my views will change?

What can I say that I haven‘t already said? I LOVE this book. I forgot how great it was! And now rereading it it‘s almost like reliving the past 10 years of my life. Perfect read and totally what I needed.
Bonus: I‘m a huge fan of Bar Rescue and Kitchen Nightmares, so hearing about her dads job was just the cherry on top. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My whole life until 17 y‘all, summed up in a quote. Good lord, I read this book BACK when I was maybe 16-18ish. And I liked it, liked the story, but now, at 26, with all that‘s happened in my life...it‘s like Watching a movie of my life for the past 9 years roll by as I read about Mclean.
I remember reading once that we read to find ourselves. Well I just found a huge chunk of myself. And I‘m only on Ch. 4
