Well....our border bubble has opened and it's a bit insane. I've been watching the highway congestion all day! As much as I would love to cross into NB for the weekend and hit up the big bookstores 😥 I have a feeling that staying closer to home seems like a better idea

MsMelissa Yikes!! My husband is waiting for the bubble to open up non-Atlantic province residents, so he can get in his annual summer vacation in NB with his friends (and see his family). We don‘t think it will happen this summer though. 4y

I know I have family in Ontario that want to come home this summer too but aren't able to isolate for 2 weeks before even seeing anyone so it looks like it's going to be a bust. I have a feeling they are going to see how well the Atlantic Bubble is working before they end up extending it. I'm just hoping it doesn't backfire. We've done so well so far 4y

Earlene I am not surprised. I am also not getting in line to go to either NS or PEI just yet. FYI, Chapters in Dieppe has well marked aisles and lots of stock. I was there today. 4y
FantasyChick @Earlene That's not helping.....I'm in Amherst 😂😂😂 The line to get into NS from what I hear isn't bad and the same with PEI. It seems like everyone wants to get to NB. A few friends hit PEI today and got gift bags upon entering. They know how to do it right 😂 4y
MsMelissa Ya, I get the waiting to see thing. Honesty, I‘d keep the borders closed if it were up to me and just live within the bubble. For my part I hope the Federal Gov‘t keeps the border closed to non-Canadians (unless essential) for a good long while. Especially in light of what‘s going on in the U.S! 4y
FantasyChick @Book_Fiend_Melissa I agree with you 100%. At this point, I don't see the need to start opening borders. I've been watching the traffic all day and I'm wondering about all the workers. Since we are a border town, we have people back and forth to NB every day for work and medical appts. And this is absolutely ridiculous. I think it's going to fall through. People can't get to work on time, can't get home....Atlantic provinces did not prepare 4y

FantasyChick @TheLudicReader Ugh I can only imagine. I was watching the traffic sitting on the highway and immediately changed my mind about bothering to cross. Traffic in town was terrible too with a lot of people breaking off for food and gas before hitting the border. I think it should be better goif back though. Our MLA was pissed at how poorly executed and unsafe it was and I think they stopped the checks or at least made it easier 4y
