Thought this would be an interesting insight about the bombing at Pearl Harbor. What does one remember when something so historical happens and you are there? Mother and daughter recall that day and time….I thought there would be interesting viewpoints/feelings. No, nothing that I couldn‘t have imagined myself and I was not born then! 1970 writing is not the answer!

EvieBee What a let down. I know it is a Nancy Pearl recommendation but she can be a little out there lol! (edited) 2y
Kboltz @EvieBee yep, it sounded like such a good read and I was excited that it was written in the 70s. Oh well. 2y

This was such a charming book filled with flawed characters and brilliant prose. What makes this book even more outstanding is that the characters actually remain flawed and the prose increasingly more brilliant for the entire duration of the story.

Eggs Loved this too 7y
BlameJennyJane @Eggs I wasn‘t positive this was a #blameitonlitsy but I think maybe I read it because I saw your review. I‘ll have to check to see if that‘s when I stacked it. Might be a #blameitoneggs 😊 7y

Happy Book Birthday to #GeorgeAndLizzie by Nancy Pearl! This character-driven novel pushes & pulls at the bonds of marriage & love, often with sharp humor & wit. I was lucky enough to read an early draft (when it was still in Microsoft Word format). I loved it a great deal even then, & I can't wait to re-read it in it's final form. Congratulations, Nancy, on your debut novel! @TouchstoneBooks #booklove #contemporaryfiction #NancyPearl #debutnovel
