For this week‘s #hyggehour , I read North Woods. Purely a #blameitonlitsy book. I‘m loving it. So unique & original.

#Vladimir joined me this week in my reading nook & chair, with my Candied Apple Yankee Candle scenting the air. #CatsOfLitsy

It felt good to turn off life for a bit…my mental health has not been strong this past week. This was a good reset moment, & I plan to listen to a session on the Calm app later tonight.

rubyslippersreads Vladimir knows he‘s fiercer than the mountain lion on the cover. 😼 4d
Ruthiella @rubyslippersreads My thoughts exactly! 😹😻 4d

My 3rd completed book for #BooksinBloom 🌸

This was a solid start to a long running procedural series set in Scotland. The gruff cop who doesn‘t play by the rules. Cliched but still enjoyable, for what it is. A copy cat serial killer and a case that still haunts DCI Logan. Very fast paced and tense.

This is also a #BlameitonLitsy book. I‘d never heard of the author or series until @TheSpineView and @Andrew65 posted about it.

TheSpineView I am hooked on this series. It gets better as you go along. Waiting for the next book to come out. 6d

This was totally a #blameitonlitsy read! I saw all the love this book was getting so I had to see for myself what all the fuss was about, even though I‘m not much of a fantasy girl. I‘m glad I gave in to the hype because it was a total delight! The world-building was good, Viv is a great MC, and all the supporting characters are endearing.

This #blameitonLitsy purchase is turning out to be rather delicious!

It's like a skankier Jane Austen 🤣

JuJuB had a f/u appointment for his eye surgery about 2 hours' drive from my home, so ... I could start and finish this one today.

Wow, I didn't guess the ending. I enjoyed all the twists and turns! I need to pick up more of Agatha's works!

#BlameItOnLitsy @Morr_Books you were right about this narrator!

While chatting on Zoom, @Morr_Books recommended this narrator. I had Audible credits to spare, and I've been meaning to read more Agatha Christie, so it felt like fate!

Opinion needed: this is a #BlameItOnLitsy so, I humbly ask for some help here.

I had been getting ready to start this, until I saw Lisa Gardner‘s review on the cover comparing it to Jillian Flynn‘s book. I love Gardner but absolutely abhorred ‘Gone Girl‘ (same goes for ‘Dark Places‘ & ‘Sharp Objects‘ as well🤦🏻‍♀️😬).

My question: What were everyone‘s thoughts on this one? Was it like Flynn‘s or was it a good read?

TheSpineView I have not read this one yet. 😏 3w
DieAReader @TheSpineView 😉Figured I‘d ask lol 3w
TheAromaofBooks Oh dear, I haven't read this one yet, either!!! 3w

DieAReader UPDATE: After a browse of reviews, I‘ve decided to skip this one & add it straight to my trade credit bag. 3w
CoverToCoverGirl I‘m with you on Flynn. I never understood why readers liked her books so much. 3w

#WeeklyForecast 11/24

I am reading the tagged one and it is good. I just finished John Marrs‘s debut, a decent thriller. Now I am about to start Orbital, a 💯 #BlameItOnLitsy read!

squirrelbrain I borrowed Orbital from the library, just in case it makes the long list, but it is *very* slim so not sure if it‘s eligible or not. (Needs to be 30,000 words) 4w

#BlameItOnLitsy

Ironically,* I found out* about this podcast on Litsy, and now I‘m 100% ignoring my audiobook for it. 😆 That‘s not supposed to be the point of this app! But it‘s so delightfully nostalgic & addictive.

*Also ironically, the first two episodes I listened to focused on Alanis Morissette and The Gin Blossoms, responsible for “Ironic” and “Found Out About You” (respectively).

Link to podcast in the comments!

ravenlee Gin Blossoms 💕😍 still one of my favorite bands ever. 4w

ImperfectCJ I like this podcast, too! My spouse and I listen on the way driving our kid to/from college. The Greenday episode was great for punk history, and I really enjoyed the Mazzy Star one (which was mostly about Low). The Cake one was quite impactful, and we listened to the Pearl Jam episode this past weekend. It keeps my Spotify playlists interesting. :-) 4w
batsy Oh no, I didn't know about this podcast and now I think I'm about to lose hours of my life as well 😁 4w
monalyisha @TheKidUpstairs @batsy Sorry/not sorry! 😅😆 4w
monalyisha @ImperfectCJ I keep thinking about whether I should skip around to songs &/or artists I‘m most excited to hear about or just keep going linearly. If I listen in order, it will feel like such a deserved treat when I get to anticipated episodes, which is kind of nice. Delayed gratification. 😉 Not that the listening experience, in general, isn‘t gratifying! 4w
ImperfectCJ @monalyisha I'm a total skipper. No regrets! 4w
