I have to admit that I had to get used to the gamer language first, but that done I really enjoyed reading this book. Especially because we learn so much more about the story behind the story through Hall's comments. Even though I never gamed like this, I did experience some of the behaviors the author criticize and more than once I could really feel with Kit. So glad I'm not 19 anymore.

Characters felt really realistic and while reading about main characters' lives it was easy to remember what it was like to be a teenager.

I had fun with this book, even though at some point there was a sudden change and characters stopped communicating and everything felt different. I am not a big fan of not communicating but this was still enjoyable read.

“Are all marriages unhappy?”
“Millions of marriages are unhappy: if everybody confessed the truth, perhaps all are more or less so.”
“You are always vexed when you are asked to come and marry a couple—why?”
“Because one does not like to act as accessory to the commission of a piece of pure folly.”

“A yokefellow is not a companion; he or she is a fellow-sufferer.”

Well, isn‘t this a delightful commentary on marriage? 😳😂 #HashtagBrigade

Finished up this one today. A Christmas romcom with a “Groundhog Day” type premise. I liked it but I think I liked In A Holidaze better (another one that had this premise). All in all though it was fun and engaging which is all I wanted out of this. Originally planned to finish this by the new year but it‘s my first book of 2026 instead

Good GOD, this book! First of all, let's just acknowledge the unexpected party that unfolds, with unwelcome guests popping up like so many dwarves descending on Bag End - first the miserable curate trio and then the maddening ladies Sykes?! After being totally dissed by Robert earlier in the day, Lina's day can't get much worse. But then, oh yes, we see some startling 1800s racism and antisemitism on display and omg is this chapter done yet??

l've had this book for many years. It‘s a good read,
