pickI sincerely thought I had read this before. It wasn't long until I realized I had not. What tipped me off was the part about a promised horse. It does differ a bit from the movies I've seen, but I understand why they made the changes. I did not have any sympathy for Willoughby. And what was Lucy thinking?

The premise is so fun. Two authors facing immense writers block decide to “switch” plot ideas for their next books.
The star of the book was the two authors, Allie and Martin, and their writing relationship and friendship. I love that an old male crime author can become friends with a young female romance author.

pickI liked the story even if this was real life, that kind of relationship would probably not be a good thing. But I liked most of Tate‘s chapters. I found Miles‘ to be interesting ones too and I was constantly wanting to get to his just so I could find out what his past actually was

Another chapter finished! Shen Qingqiu just keeps jumping in front of Luo Binghe -- technically this image is from the previous chapter, but he does it again in this one already. Binghe is running away with all sorts of confused ideas about why his Shizun is protecting him, poor boy.
But then, he's beginning to be cared for, for the first time in a long time, so “poor boy“ might not be the right words.
Just starting this. I'm not a big romance reader, but I've heard good things about Emily Henry. Hope I like it!
