#Bibliophile Day 18: This #RedCover book is the first in the Ember in the Ashes quartet. I am now in book 3. Review is forthcoming. Fantastic series. Anyone who has fallen in love with this series? Apparently it came out in 2016 - I have no clue why it was never in my radar until now! Sabaa Tahir is a league of her own.

TheBookHippie I enjoy her writing. I read her first book as an ARC. All my Rage is the book I liked the most. 16m

This was a fun read. It was an interesting take on what happened after happily ever after. Overall I enjoyed reading about Sleeping Beauty. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you‘re getting big The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo vibes, you‘re not the only one. It‘s more of a family drama than a romance, in the end, and it‘s a serviceable read – just nothing groundbreaking or mind-blowing. I sincerely thought I had read this before. It wasn't long until I realized I had not. What tipped me off was the part about a promised horse. It does differ a bit from the movies I've seen, but I understand why they made the changes. I did not have any sympathy for Willoughby. And what was Lucy thinking?

This was a cute rom-com!

The premise is so fun. Two authors facing immense writers block decide to “switch” plot ideas for their next books.

The star of the book was the two authors, Allie and Martin, and their writing relationship and friendship. I love that an old male crime author can become friends with a young female romance author.

I liked the story even if this was real life, that kind of relationship would probably not be a good thing. But I liked most of Tate‘s chapters. I found Miles‘ to be interesting ones too and I was constantly wanting to get to his just so I could find out what his past actually was

I‘m sorry, it‘s probably me. I can‘t figure out what is happening and I don‘t care. Where is this going?! I am bailing at page 105 - if you can‘t capture my heart or curiosity by page 100, I am outtahere. I have too many books 📚 coming off hold and not enough time! 🕰️

Another chapter finished! Shen Qingqiu just keeps jumping in front of Luo Binghe -- technically this image is from the previous chapter, but he does it again in this one already. Binghe is running away with all sorts of confused ideas about why his Shizun is protecting him, poor boy.

But then, he's beginning to be cared for, for the first time in a long time, so “poor boy“ might not be the right words.

Just starting this. I'm not a big romance reader, but I've heard good things about Emily Henry. Hope I like it!

willaful It's a good one to start with if you're not big on romance, because there's a whole other story going on. 3h
