Even though it's #8, it's a good stand alone book. I enjoyed all the twists and turns in this one. Easy to read, rounded characters and believable events.
May 13 #MayMoms Single Mom I must say that I had this experience for about 6 years until I met a wonderful man who didn't mind marrying a woman with 4 daughters.I went to University and acquired my B.A., worked a part time job at Walmart & volunteered at my girls school.Ended up getting a teachers ed certificate to work in daycare & schools.I taught my girls to be strong woman and get a good education.I think my best self came being a single mom
#LitsyCrafters #Embroidery I have forgotten how fun Embroidery is. My mom thought me this craft when I was a child. These are my newest bookmarks, found these on Amazon and the instructions were in Chinese lol, good thing I have a book to learn how to do some stitches. @Catsandbooks @curiouserandcurioser Embroidery is like coloring with thread.
@Nessavamusic AContemporaryRomance. This book is kinky and unrealistic. What men would only want one wife between them. There are so many questions as to why 3 brothers would choose to live together and have 1 wife.According to the story this is a generational thing as their parents did it and grandparents did it.Don't get me started on the sex scenes!I felt like it was porn.Poor woman must have been exhausted with the appetite of these men.#NSR221
#LitsyTeaSwap @Nutmegnc @Sarabellum Sara I received your tea today. Lovely little card and great choice for me. This I will try today. Love that's its called Lord Bergamot. I will feel like a queen when I drink it. @maich @KateReadsYA @CrowCAH @LapReader @Bookwormjillk @BookBosomed1 @jenniferw88
#MayMoms, May 3 Judgmental. I remember thinking when I would go to public places where people would look at me when my kids would have a tantrum or do something and the looks I would get. This quote I think best describes all parents as they as well have the same experiences. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
May 2 #MayMoms Evil, The best evil mom for me was Cersie Lanister and the actress that played her. She loved her children and did everything to protect them even though as a girl she could not get power or be a queen, but she sure tried. And I liked her for that., @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
This book was ok. The main character is a hot head private detective who meets a woman reporter. They said it's a thriller but it's not gory enough. It should be classified as a mystery romance. It was quite a page turner with a slight twist at the end that I never saw coming
May 1, #PhotoChalange #MayMoms I have to say I chose myself as this definitely was me (although she is much prettier) My oldest Crystal on the left, Renee on the right, and the twins Janessa and Janelle in the womb. I loved to read to my girls and today they are all readers. This is the best memories we all have.. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
#LitsyCrafters May is cross-stitch and embroidery. I have not done cross-stitch for 27 years. Now I'm into it, and I forgot how relaxing it is. I started this in February, I couldn't wait until May. I did one page and now to page 2, I have 4 pages to do. @Catsandbooks @curiouserandcurioser
This is a pretty good suspense thriller. Kept me guessing until the end. I just finished watching the series "The Thing About Pam" and she was reading this author and had sticky notes all over the book. Lol I'm not sure if it gave her ideas for how to kill a person.
#LitsyTeaSwap @CrowCAH @KateReadsYA Look what arrived today. Thank you Kate and Cynthia. Cannot wait to try these. I love chamomile and fruit tea. Cute stamp. 😍 @Nutmegnc @maich @sarahbellum @LapReader @Bookwormjillk @BookBosomed1 @jenniferw88
I love John Connelly and this series, this being number 18. This authors vocabulary is exceptional and after I have read one of his novels I feel unfulfilled with the writing of others. Most authors seem to write for grade 10 English but this one makes me stop and look at the words that I usually never see. It's fabulous. And the story line is great too. Love Angel and Louis, Parkers sidekicks.
#NSR22 @Nessavamusic Noir Mystery. This was a good novel, lots of twists that I never saw coming. The murder was brutal. The Police at the time (as it happened in the 1940's) were horrible in their methods and really prejudiced and racists. I would shake my head at the brutality of the police of the day.
#LitsyCrafters @Catsandbooks @curiouserandcurioser I know that Gardening is not until June, but I'm so excited that most of the plants I started indoors is growing. An since I don't do Journaling I thought I would post this. Most are zucchini and squash.
Even though this book was long it still kept me engaged. It had Mysticism, Elves, Dwarves, and men. Oh and Trolls. The genre is High Fantasy with Sword and Sorcery. #HaveNoShameReadathon22 @Nessavamusic I was looking for more Sword fights.
