Christy2318 I personally know woman who protested this book being in an 11th grade classroom library & filed obscenity report with police about it. She sparked a lot of what Evison had to deal with in the last year. She called him a “pedophil”. Her spelling not mine. She stopped speaking to me when I posted my own opinion about the book on my personal FB page without mentioning her. Now she is running for the school board. 2y
Cinfhen OMG! That‘s insane @Christy2318 !!! I agree @Reggie so far I haven‘t come across anything that I felt was inappropriate or certainly crossing lines!! Wow!! I‘m speechless- filing an obscenity report seems EXTREME 2y

Christy2318 My son says she is on a power trip. We weren‘t really close friends but our kids are and I was surprised when she went off about this and other books. After all this, I‘ve found that she is homophobic & racist given comments she has made although she would be appalled if someone told her she was. It‘s a great book & very appropriate as optional reading for older teens. I need to read more Evison. @Reggie 2y
Christy2318 @Cinfhen It was very extreme and she went viral. Yesterday we had drama in our neighborhood FB group because she posted You Tube video there in her invite to people to come to her campaign meet & greet. She is quite proud of herself as “that mom”! 2y

Reggie @Christy2318 there was a woman in Texas with the same profile and her son had to out her on Twitter because he is gay and her and her husband turned their backs on him. Effin hypocrites. 2y
