pickI have been in a woeful reading slump, and let this sit for a month before I actually sat down and read it. As always, I love the characters, and the fact that each mystery involves some scientific/technological advance being made during the Regency. This one wasn‘t as fascinating as others in the series, but I still enjoyed it very much and continue to recommend these books.
Hoping to finish 3 that are in progress, and read the section for this week‘s The Ivy Tree. Hope to catch upon that this week.

Jeremiah Willis, introduced in the Prologue of the tagged book, hooked me with his words- he resonated with me because this is how I feel about any body of water. Pictured is a beach on Cape Cod, my life long favorite place to visit for respite & regeneration.
This is a wonderful historical fiction/mystery series. I suggest reading the series in order.

so-soInitially I enjoyed this audiobook. But after a time I became impatient with the convoluted plot as the story dragged on for me. I almost bailed but I was close the the end so I soldiered on.
