I got to hear these beautiful speakers talking about Toni Morrison at #TXBookFest2019. They made me want to read all of her books right this second. They also made me want to buy both of their books, which I am likely to do first thing in the morning.

Soubhiville @Hooked_on_books it‘s been great so far! I‘m looking forward to seeing Ruta Sepetys, Julia Phillips, Mesha Martin, and Rainbow Rowell today. 💜. There‘s a bunch of Littens considering coming next year... I don‘t know if that would be in the realm of possibility for you but it would be great if you‘re interested! 5y

Hooked_on_books I just heard Julia Phillips on a podcast and she was lovely. Plus her book is incredible. I would say borrow The Old Drift for sure. I really wanted to love that book. I think coming to the festival would be amazing, but I‘m not sure I can swing it. My husband‘s birthday is this week and he would definitely not be interested in that. But it would be really cool to meet up. We shall see. 5y

These are some of the authors I‘m hoping to hear speak at Texas Book Festival this weekend. There are so many others I‘d love to see too- 300 authors at one fest, how do you choose?

I‘m most looking forward to Alexander McCall Smith, bottom right corner. I‘ve been loving his No. 1 Ladies Detective Series for 20+ years.

Librariana Hope you have a phenomenally good time! I got to meet Rainbow Rowell when we were living/working in the St. Louis area and believe you me when I say the lack of coherent thought was REAL! I was *such* a huge dork about the whole interaction. All I could stupidly and superficially tell her was that she looked... pretty! 😣😔😔 Ack! What even am I!? I promise I value my fellow sisters for more than just looks! 5y
