The one and only Ivan by Katherine Applegate is a magnificent MF book and winner of the Newberry Medal. Katherine Applegate transports the reader into the mind of Ivan and creates a connection between the reader and Ivan. Ivan is a great silverback gorilla living at “the exit 8 big top mall and video arcade... conveniently located off I-95”. It is a tale of friendship and the desire for change in the right direction. I would use GR.
