This HF book is AMAZING. What a fabulous book that can be used as a RA in the classroom. When I tell you I felt mind blown at the end, i mean it! This story is based on a true account (which makes it even more shocking). This story truly shows how small decisions can have huge consequences, and how chance & fate play roles in our lives.
Vanvlieta I would teach this story using the UDL principle 3.2(highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships) & ESOL strategy 1(use pre-reading activities to activate former knowledge) https://blog.advancementcourses.com/classroom-activities/develop-reading-skills/ #UCFLAE4314SP21 🐱🚢 (edited) 4y
DrSpalding You included a helpful resource and certainly enticed the reader of your post to want to read this awesome book! I am a huge titanic fan and this historical event can be taught in social studies! Why not use a wonderful read aloud during this content area? Just do it. 4y
