pick17 hours read for #24in48readathon & I've finished my 3rd book. I loved this! Such a great story, centering around a friendship between a 9 year old girl and an older Xhosa woman in South Africa, who are thrown together during the 1970's Soweto uprising. The author did a great job discussing grief, racism, & the definition of family. A great book on diversity & acceptance.
