I bought this volume years ago at a comic convention. It lived in my TBR pile until recently when I learned that it was adapted into an anime series. And I think it really cool since it‘s done by a US artist, kickstarted into manga publication, and then made into anime in Japan 👍🏼 So awesome!!

Anyways, it‘s a rom-com set in gaming culture, woman working in STEM, deals with mental health and internet celebrity-ism.

This is gonna be on my best of the year list. I just kept smiling while reading this horror manga about a coastal town that is cursed by spirals. Yes, spirals. It just kept surprising me over and over again in its creepiness. Ito is a master at drawing these captivating panels. One of my favorite moments is when these two girls, their hair gets cursed by the spirals and they have this hair off. One of the girls, her hair almost chokes the 👇🏼

Reggie other girl to death. But out of nowhere her boyfriend comes with a pair of scissors and cuts the hair choking her. And I thought, wow, that‘s real romance. Lol. A super Halloween pick! 2d

I hadn't picked up a Manga in a while, and this one certainly looked seasonally appropriate when I stumbled across it!

The combination of an eerie and uncanny character and setting with an oddly cozy story and absolutely gorgeous art made for a delightful first book.

Some questions are answered by the end, but many remain, and I definitely hope to continue reading the series!

Pride and Prejudice | Austen

I‘ve been reading P&P to the kiddo (she wasn‘t happy about it, but once we got to the proposals rolling in she admits it‘s interesting enough to continue), and I can‘t tell you how nice it is to have this kind of moment in a hectic week. Homeschool has its moments, for sure. #DannyBoy really hates the voices I do for Mr. Collins and Lady Catherine.

Another fun continuation of this story. I am enjoying seeing the characters slowly grow through their relationships. I wish we saw a little more growth through their music like we did in the first two volumes, but that's my only tiff. #LGBTQIA #Manga
