pickBasically carries straight on from volume 2, and continues the same themes/trajectory -- if volume 1 didn't work for you, nor will volume 2. Just as I said in the review of the first volume, it's predictable -- I think I know how things will end up.
I did find myself shipping Harvard and Aiden incredibly. I mean they're also good as best friends, and I love that for them too. The way Aiden drops everything for Harvard? Cute.

I tried to like “Soul Eater”, but the misogyny and abundance of fan service ruined it for me. The story is interesting but the art style is subpar. I hated every guy as they were obnoxious and gross, and the amount of female nudity and giant boobs was disgusting. The fact that there‘s portrayal of guys exposing their female partner‘s privates for leverage, and that another guy grabs two character‘s boobs to compare their sizes is horrifying.
I‘m finally joining in! 🥳 It‘s 3 months into #JaneAustenThenAndNow but I couldn‘t pass up on an opportunity to read P&P with fellow Janeites!! It‘s SUCH a good story, I‘ve re-read it countless times. Watched the movie / TV adaptations, everything.
(Strangely, it‘s still not my favorite Austen - Persuasion is ☺️)
I‘m only at chapter 12 & am already as enamored and enchanted as ever. And I think I‘ll catch up pretty quickly, it‘s so good. Hurrah 😊

I devoured volume four of “Spy x Family”. Between the assassination plot and the addition of a dog to this fake family, this book had me hooked until the very end. It did get a little dark at times (ex. mentions of war, animal experimentation), however all dogs had happy endings. I absolutely LOVE Bond and I can‘t wait to see more of him in future volumes!

Volume 11 was a rollercoaster that was full of twists and turns. I was not expecting that ending, and my only complaint was that there were spiders 🤢

I still adore this series. Volume six is, as expected, full of shenanigans, heartwarming moments, humor, and (of course) teddy demons. I can‘t wait to read more of this series!

Pros: I liked the art style and the world/story was fascinating.
Cons: Riko was an annoying character that I had trouble liking. Most importantly was the depiction of the kids. These include punishments while they are naked, discussions about their genitals, and one character looks at another‘s privates while they are asleep. This apparently continues in every volume of this series, so I will not support it as this gives me pedo vibes.
pickThis volume actually gives us a glimpse of Lizel's “most precious person“... and of course it's his king. Except mostly Lizel's dad takes up the time they can talk together.
It also features Gil reading again, and a trip to the hot springs... from which both Eleven and Lizel need to be carried home. I feel that in my soul: a hot bath is wondrous, but I always have to sit down for quite a while afterwards.
