I‘ve finished FFtMC. It was a ride! It had its ups and downs for me. I found a couple of parts really quite unnecessary and dull, whilst other parts had such beautiful and poetic prose that I was hard pressed to put the book down. I found Gabriel Oak a sweet, sincere and interesting character but really I disliked every other character in the book for one reason or another. #bookaddict #booklover #bookish #bookblog #bookworm

So, I finished rereading Apollodorus yesterday and delved back into FFtMC for #everdene2018 which I have to say is going very slowly whilst I struggle to get through the Malthouse chapter which seems unnecessary and tedious if I‘m honest. It doesn‘t seem to be important to the story at all. I‘m really enjoying the book other than this random chapter. 🙎🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

I‘m now on chapter nine after reading only a chapter today of this. I‘m really enjoying it, I‘m addicted to Hardy‘s beautiful description and I‘m very curious about dear Gabriel Oak and how he will develop as a character. I‘m also though emotionally not in the right place to keep a consistent rhythm with reading the book so I‘m going a bit slow.
