How far would you go to protect your loved ones? Suspenseful, page turner. The whole story takes place over a few days so you really feel like you‘re in the thick of it with these characters.

Funny story: I was talking to my husband about the premise of the book when I was just a couple of chapters in. He guessed the ending and I knew he was right so unfortunately, it wasn‘t a big twist for me. Next time, I won‘t be telling him a thing!! 🤣

It‘s been almost 7 months since my last book! I gave birth to my second daughter in May. So excited to start reading again after a long hiatus. These quiet mornings are lovely.

I think John Parra is an illustrator/author worthy to follow. I loved his book Green is a Chile Pepper. Nominated for the 2024 WCCPBA, I'll be reading the tagged book to all my students in the next school year. I'll let you know what they think! #WCCPBA #endpapers

The son of a sealing captain in Newfoundland, Landish is more interested in the written word and wordplay, finding a friendship at Princeton with an extremely wealthy American. The book focuses on Landish‘s arc, as he moves forward while being mistreated by almost everyone around him. A melancholy story, but certainly well written.

(Bindi didn‘t really want to be in this photo, but she‘s a good sport. 😆)

I'm guilty of reading while weeding. Some books I just can't weed. This was really sweet.

We read so many children‘s books in this household and never post about them…but THIS BOOK. I had to get this to fellow readers who may love it like I do 😭
I love everything about it..Beautiful illustrations, dad and son rep, the child‘s name is my son‘s name (Leo), the feelings attached to homes/dwellings. Favorite children‘s book of 2021. We‘ve read it then and again this year!

A fondness for sunflowers...as with Little Witch Hazel, I completely adore Phoebe Whal's illustration style and her ability to insert lush botanicals into the images. Sonya's Chickens manages a colourful and kind and honest take on the circle of life. The Blue House recognizes change is a part of life and healthy expressions of grieving what is lost or outside your control.

🫐 Tagged book - I bought it when I visited the holocaust museum in DC in college.
🍑 It seems like a very serious read that I need to be prepared for.
