Doing a little #frontporchreading while the weather's still nice. Soaking up as much sun as we can. The rains will be here sooner than I'd like, I think. I'm loving this book! It's about this creepy house and these creepy twins and how every nine years the house lures someone in through an iron gate and they never come back out. Spooookkkyyy! 👻

Herb garden weeded, lettuce and cilantro seeds planted, ice tea brewed....Commence sun bathing. #frontporchreading #hellospring

I'm not sure about this book, y'all. The prose style is gorgeous, atmospheric, dark, musical... The prose is what I keep coming back to. The story itself though is muddled and confusing and maybe I'm not smart enough to really get it, or maybe I'm not supposed to? I don't know but the cover is cool. 🐺

I'm finally back in my favorite place to read : the front porch! I could literally stay out here ALL day to read and listen to the birds sing 🤓

A remarkably summer-like day! Taking advantage with a little #frontporchreading. This one's about a backcountry ranger who goes missing and the efforts made to find him. It's well-written, if a little on the sad side. Reminiscent of Krakauer's Into The Wild.

I am so grateful for the warm days we've been having, summer extending into autumn. Love that it's Oct 6 and I am still reading out on my front porch! Just started this one... I'm intrigued. #currentread #frontporchreading #brewsandbooks

Though this book is better suited to dark and stormy nights, this is the first opportunity I've had all year to read out on my front porch so I'm taking full advantage! #frontporchreading

melrailey I love reading on my back porch especially when all my flowers are pretty and the sun ☀️ is out. 7y
