I‘m re-reading this book because it‘s been 10 years, and I want to read the other books in the series (the TV show rekindled my interest).

Listening to the audiobook, I‘ve developed a slight accent in my head now when thinking my thoughts. I‘m now thinking with a wee Scottish accent, LOL 😆 Has anyone else had this happen with an audiobook where the narrator has an accent?

JamieArc Oh yes! All the time! 6y
LauraBrook Most of the 📺 I watch is British, so my regular inside voice has an accent! This morning it‘s a little more Welsh, as I‘ve been watching Hinterland this weekend. 6y
Susanita Yes with Tana French. 🇮🇪 6y

Jennifer3 Yes definitely! 6y
Maewyn As a kid when people couldn't understand my accent I would subconsciously try to sound like them. This still happens from time to time so listening to an audio book definitely does that because it is like a long one sided conversation to my brain. 😊 6y
tracey38 Yes, even happens in person. I have a southern accent but used to spend my summers growing up with my cousins in PA, who have a very distinct PA Dutch accent. I would come home after the summer speaking with their accent for a week or so. 😁 6y
