“Nipple nipple, little mouse, who is nibbling at my house”
“Nipple nipple, little mouse, who is nibbling at my house”
Again I won‘t use a brothers Grimm book in the classroom even with other child because they are very dark book. However there are kid friendly versions of this story out there but the story is still pretty dark.
this book was very interesting and I really enjoyed it. I got this one from the library and it wasn't quite what I thought it was. It is different than the copy I have at home as it's more kid friendly. however I still don't know if I would have it in my classroom
Traditional literature
“And she took them both by the hand, led them inside her house, and served them a fine dinner.“
This edition is perfect for both young readers and adults, offering a blend of storytelling and artistry that will leave lasting impressions. This Grimm tale is also a Caldecott medalist! (1998)
This classic fairy tale is a stunning retelling with beautifully illustrated images rich in colors and wonderful details. The story remains true to the original while adding a touch of warmth and depth to the characters. Themes of resilience and cleverness are shown as Hansel and Gretel navigate their challenges.
A very cute, yet dark middle grade fantasy. I enjoyed the twist on the Hansel & Gretal story. A great one for middle grade students that like scary stories, yet is age appropriate. 4⭐️
Another #bookspinbingo!
‘The daughter of the witch has spent her life in the forest, in a wondrous candy cottage as dangerous as it is beautiful. She seeks to undo her mother‘s spells and free the poor souls who fell to temptation.‘
A fantastic mashup of #HanselAndGretel and The Gingerbread Man. This was cute, sugary sweet, and just a little bit Grimm.
A Villain‘s Ever After Series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
