Long week, both at work and home. Went to get food for a stew tomorrow (❄️❄️ predicted, our first if it comes!) This picture from the grocery store parking lot gave me pause and filled my heart. I missed the town tree lighting this year so had not seen the tree all dressed up. Have not had time to get our tree up yet, so this felt Christmasy.🎄🎄Love the purple/blue tones.

kspenmoll The church pictured is Congregational, one of three churches built since 1683. This one in 1830. In 1965 parts were restored after a fire. Martin Luther King attended services here as well as others,during his two summers he came to work in nearby tobacco fields. ValerieAndBooks Whenever we stay in Hartford (remember my daughter goes to school there), off in the near distance, from our hotel, we see a New England church that looks like this one. Maybe it is the same one! 6y
