Although a work of fiction, The Nightingale's tale of sisters during WWII is one of #courage and it's many faces. Isabelle & Vianne may not be real, but there were many real women taking bold steps to undermine the Nazi regime and join the resistance.

tpixie It was inspired by the story of a Belgian woman, Andrée de Jongh, who helped downed Allied pilots to escape Nazi territory. ?According to Wikipedia!! 7y

This sweet little book about unconditional love makes a cute gift, so I added it to our donation bag for our closest Hurricane Harvey shelter. Houston will be digging out for a long time, and so many are doing more than I am, but it felt good to get out and do something! #houstonstrong #longroadback
