Exiled to the planet of Sakaar by Earth‘s heroes, the ship he was sent on explodes, killing his new wife and allies. HULK returns to his home planet seeking revenge on the ones who betrayed him. Amazing sequel to one of the best HULK stories ever. Brutal non-stop action, bathed in emotional resonance. Greg Pak deserves high accolades for these back-to-back masterpieces.

WeAreLegion Sorry, this book is actually 'WORLD WAR HULK'; sequel to 'PLANET HULK'. 3w

Instant classic!
HULK is deemed a danger to Earth by some of its heroes and sent off into space to the remote planet of Sakaar where he is taken as a slave to fight in gladiator battles. He wins his freedom and becomes the leader of the freed slaves, and takes over the planet. One of the best HULK stories I've ever read. A homerun of a narrative, so epic and fun!

I really like the idea of resurrecting an old concept for a superhero into the modern canon. Even the premise is good: the man who once was the powerful hero, SENTRY, has only vague recollections of his past life, and all others have also forgotten him. As if he had been erased from memory. Unfortunately, the execution is lacking. The entire story over multiple issues is all build-up to a less-than-satisfying end game.

Everyone thinks Bruce Banner is dead. But he‘s not. He‘s just wandering around the US waiting for nightfall when ‘the other guy‘ emerges. This ‘reboot‘ is great! It takes the book back to its gothic horror roots, establishing a Jekyll / Hyde dynamic (and a bit of vampiric flavor in that ‘he only comes out at night). That Hulk is also crafty and devious, makes this story interesting. Oh, and he‘s also immortal! Worth checking out!

Hulk has never been a fave superhero of mine but Hoopla was giving free borrows for multiple Jeph Loeb titles.

This was one. It‘s basically a graphic urination contest among Rainbow Hulks, Iron Man, Thor, the Fantastic Four & other cast members.

Decent read but it‘d be better if you had a decent amount of background info on the Marvel superheroes stable.

A beautifully tragic retelling of the first few days of the Hulk from a seasoned, but still traumatized, Banner to his psychiatrist friend. Not only does it tell a strong story of his past, but the psychiatric evaluation of events are subtle but very powerful. Hulk is drawn with exaggerated proportions, but of course Sale would know how to portray him as both innocent and terrifying. A brilliant entry to the Loeb/Sale Marvel colors series.

I liked this one more than the first book. Finally got the humor back and her breaking the fourth wall. In this story, a social media chef ingests something bad and turns him into a monster. Yes this was done on purpose by his film crew. What happens after that is just a cat and mouse game trying to find him before he gets worse. Wonderful graphic and good story.
