pickJust about a pick for me. This is a feminist retelling of the little mermaid and it‘s not even a little bit subtle in hitting the reader over the head with the themes and messaging. I would have liked to see a little more complexity in the world created especially in the characterisation. The ending was very strong however and I appreciated what O‘Neill was trying to do. (And the cover is stunning)
